I would have instinctively said kane but itās actually a very good argument this one. Kane lasted longer at the top level so his numbers are better but itās not that simple surely.
Whoās had the better career? Obviously Kane in terms of pure goals scored - will be spurs and Englandās all time best, maybe the premier leagues (if he does that he pushes in front). On the other hand would you rather have vardys career as they are now. Rise from nowhere and was a key figure in winning a premier league.
Who was the better player at their very best? Again its arguable both fantastic obviously but vardy probably had a better season that year they won the league than Kane ever had. He was almost unplayable with his pace and aggression.
But then youād be landed with rebbekkkka
I think most people would choose prime Vardy over prime Kane.

Really? Iād honestly prefer to have Vardys career, unless kane wins something. Football is a team game, winning trophies rather than individual just matters more. I dont think thats a ludicrous argument by any stretch.
Thereās tonnes of strikers Iād pick over Kane. He wouldnāt make an EPL top 10.
Thatās not the question, trophies are not up for debate, Vardy wins that.
Frankly itās laughable to me that anybody would say that Vardy has been a better player than Harry Kane over his career

Shearer, Henry, Van Nistlerooy, Torres, Drogba, Suarez, Van Persie, Vardy, Salah, Rooney, Owen are just a few ahead of him.

Iād take Torres off it and Vardy is a ridiculous addition but the other 8 were/are great players, some of the best in the world

So the question was who has won the most trophies?
Then I offer my surrender, the answer is Vardy 
Apart from Shearer and Rooney, Kane is ahead of them all for goals scored. Heāll soon pass out Rooney and could pass Shearer out. He did it while playing for Spurs. A lot of the others played for league winning teams. Vardy is better than him though.
Sterling was Englands worst starting player at the 2018 World Cup. He was widely criticised at that tournament. He was at home dealing with personal issues during the 2022 renewal. Bit of a stretch to suggest that heās been carrying Harry Kane for the last 5 years.
Were there any other competitions of note during that period. If so how did he fair in them?
One competition singular. Euro 2020 in 2021. He played well in that tournament to be fair. Can remember him scoring against Germany, diving for a pen against Denmark and possibly scoring the winner against Croatia too? That tournament is very much the outlier in his international career thus far though. I wouldnāt go as far as to say heās been more influential in Englands improvement than Kane has.
Jesus Christ. Torres scored in the finals of Euro 2008 and 2012, eliminated peak Barcelona on the way to winning the Champions League and arguably peaked at Liverpool. Harry Kane has done fuck all when it counts
