January 2014 Transfer Window Thread

Aiden McGeady has been placed on the transfer list by Spartak Moscow, reportedly after a falling out with Karpin. He’s out of contract at the end of the season so can’t imagine his fee would be more than €1m.

Karpin has also suspended him indefinitely. He confirmed: “Aiden McGeady was suspended from training with the first team for not complying with my instructions in training and matches.”

McGeady is a gas cunt.

Arsenal and Chelsea will surely both be in the market for a striker, Liverpool for a midfielder. I mentioned that M’Vila was in the Liverpool end at the derby match at Goodison last week so hopefully we’ll get him.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cheslea try and break the bank to get Lewandowski. Don’t see it happening though unless Dortmund go out of the Champions League.

Looks as though Daniel Agger is on his way out of Liverpool. Barca badly need a centre half and have been linked with him in the past

Agger is a comically inept defender.

Keisuke Honda’s move to Milan has been confirmed. I think he is a little bit overrated myself but he should still improve Milan’s midfield ranks.

He ran rings around Italy at the confederations cup this year anyway.

Did he? Didn’t really notice him too much, thought Kagawa was much more influential.

That game was definitely game of the year. Outstanding. There is something very right about watching live sport at night. Kagawa did outshine Honda in that game though

More reports that Balotelli is on the market for €25m. If he can’t settle in Milan I don’t know where he will ever settle, Milan were willing to build a team around him but he has failed to show the consistency and maturity to do so yet. I don’t see another (big) club in Italy wanting to touch him. I would imagine there is an agenda to this story and it is more that they want to give Balotelli the kick up his arse he needs to just focus on his football.

Has he gotten up to any hilarious japes over in Italy, Rudi? You’d miss him round the place in the 'ol EPL.

Is Zlatan joining Celtic ??

I can’t recall too many incidents since rejoining Milan. To be honest there wouldn’t be the same media clamour around him in Italy that followed him while he was in England. It has been more his on-pitch behaviour and general attitude that have annoyed many and given that he is expected to be a talisman for Italy at this summer’s World Cup their is gathering lack of empathy for the way he conducts himself when the performances aren’t forthcoming.

His goalscoring record at Milan is great so far but if you look beyond it and see that penalties comprise of a fair portion of those goals as well as plenty of non-interested performances this season then you can see why they are making this ultimatum. I don’t believe he is on the market now but I believe this is an ultimatum from the Milan board to start pulling his weight in and become much more professional and focused on his football.

He will never be a top footballer due to the fact that he is a manchild and thick as fuck by the looks of things. He’ll be dead by the time he’s 28.

He is more than welcome to make is way to Arsenal. We would be unstoppable with that crazy fucker up front.
