Not too surprisingly Robbie Keane is on the move…again…
where to who knows, Vancouver, Wolves, Villa all being mentioned. Celtic would like him and i’m sure he’d like it there, but i doubt he’d be willing to take such a pay cut or Spurs would sell him at a low enough price.
I wonder will Given find himself back at Newcastle…

He should take some advice and not move to an English speaking country, his life will be miserable
Robbie is having talks with Birmingham City…
Pardew wants Robbie to join Newcastle
from bbc website
Manchester City have turned down a bid from West Ham to take left-back Wayne Bridge on loan in January, even though the Hammers had offered to pay ÂŁ95,000 a week towards his wages
.
West Ham deserve to go down if they pay that useless fucker 95k a week
Roma are after Valon Behrami
Sunderland are preparing a 12 million pound bid for Stuart Downing and are being linked with NZogbia and Adam Johnson, I’d say Andy Reid’s days there are numbered, could well end up and Sheffield United permanently
That’s actually astonishing. The fact City turned them down possibly even more so.
Keane to Newcastle would be an interesting one. He could partner quite well perhaps with Carroll. I still maintain that the brief Berbatov/Keane partnership was one of the best the league has ever seen. If I was Alex Ferguson I’d be giving Spurs a call.
Kevin Kilbane has joined League 1 side Huddersfield on loan for the rest of the season. It seems they’ve signed him to play a centre midfield role.
He was in central midfield with Joey Gudjonsson today and reportedly did well. The lads on Down at the Mac forum were impressed with his ability on the ball (!) and work-rate though he tired in the second half.
Ronaldinho has travelled home to Brazil to discuss a move to Gremio.
Demicheles has left Bayern and gone to Málaga.
Luiz Gustavo has moved from Hoffenheim to Bayern for €15m.
Is this Beckham to Spurs thing gonna happen?
Michael Johnson being linked with a loan move to Leeds, is he still a fat lushhead or has he copped onto himself
From ESPN:
Bayern have confirmed that they tried to sign Everton full-back Leighton Baines, but the player turned down the chance to move to Munich.
Baines famously missed out on a place in England’s squad for last summer’s World Cup finals after becoming homesick during the pre-tournament training camp in Switzerland.
That always made a move to the Bundesliga unlikely, and Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has now confirmed that the player had no intention of moving to Germany.
“We cannot force him (Baines) to join us. He would rather live in Liverpool than Munich, and that’s that,” Rummenigge said.
Rummenigge insists his side will be a force to be reckoned with in 2011 following the signing of Luiz Gustavo from Hoffenheim and the return to fitness of Arjen Robben. Bayern struggled to fifth place at the end of the first half of the season and they currently trail league leaders Borussia Dortmund by 14 points.
Although the chances of them successfully defending their league title this season appear slim, Rummenigge says there is still all to play for and that Bayern will start to show their true form during the coming year.
"We are going to be attacking in all three competitions,’’ he proclaimed. "With Robben and Gustavo, we are stronger than we were in the first half of the season. We want to knock Inter (Milan) out of the Champions League, win the DFB-Pokal and then we will have to see about the league.
"I am convinced that we will gain far more points than we did in the first half of the season.’’
Gustavo linked up with his new team-mates on Monday at their winter training camp in Qatar. The Brazilian has joined for a reported fee of ¬15 million from Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim, although some eyebrows have been raised about the arrival of the 23-year-old, who has yet to be capped by his national team.
However, Rummenigge is convinced that Gustavo will strengthen his side
"We only sign players who guarantee us improvement,’’ he told Bild. "Gustavo can help us out immediately either at left full-back or at centre-back. He can also play in the centre of the midfield. The lad has character and he was the player (coach) Louis van Gaal really wanted.
“Seriously, we are not going to sign any more players in January.”
As part of the deal, Bayern full-back David Alaba has joined Hoffenheim on loan until the end of the season.
Man City have agreed a fee with Wolfsburg for Dzeko, varying numbers betw 25m and 35m.
Blavkburn are attempting to sign The Dinho and Beckham, Blackburn are a joke.
Surprised at Wolfsburg selling Dzeko. They don’t need the cash and the talk was he’d go to Bayern due to some shared ownership from Audi and the Hoenesses.
Good player anyway but he’ll probably be wrongly judged as a lump of a target man for the first while in the EPL anyway.
