Digne to Villa is a strange one. What does he expect that to do for his career?
Other clubs linked were Chelsea and Newcastle. The former, you may lose your place when Chilwell returns, the latter you get relegated. Nice pay bump for a move to midtable team and play regularly enough to get picked for France.
He’s swapping mid table EPL for mid table EPL. Liverpool for Birmingam. It’s as parallel a move as you could make. He’d want to be getting some pay bump for it.
That chap Everton signed to replace him, Mykolenko (sp?) - far better player than Digne

Sounds like he fell out with Rafa so had to move somewhere. Although I’d be surprised if Rafa was still there next season.
I think Digne is a very average player. I’m utterly shocked he’s a French international with some of the players they have available to them. He was septic when he was on loan at Roma.
Digne said he wants to live in the Birmingham area. Maybe he’s a fan of Peaky Blinders??
