January Transfer Window Thread

[quote=“Pikeman”]Think it’s about the 44 days at Leeds and then covers bits of other events. Even Johnny Giles features.
This guy Peter McDonald plays him

John Giles took legal action over the book…

Really? How come?

Portsmouth have bolstered their squad with a double swoop for West Ham midfielder Hayden Mullins and Porto youngster Pele. Super stuff there from adams…

Adams will do well to get the chance to even pick them the way he’s unravelling at present.

The book is a fictional/dramatised acount of what happened rather that a factual based account and I presume Giles wasn’t happy about bit written about him, think the book had to be edited to removes certain parts of it…

West Ham have signed Brescia’s Ugandan born, Germany U-19 international Savio Nsereko for a club record fee believed to be close to Stg10m. That’s an awful lot of money to spend on an unproven player.

Maybe the author didn’t give ‘honesty of effort’ in his writing.

Brutal stuff Pike!

Given to be at City by the end of the day it seems.

Given didn’t play tonight. He was officially injured but Kinnear has admitted Given’s intent on leaving before the transfer window closes.

Given’s expected to sign for Manchester City tomorrow even though Kinnear says their initial Stg5m offer was derisory.

Kinnear brought some stability there initially but it seems to be unravelling completely.

Charles N’Zogbia is gagging to leave too and says he won’t play under Kinnear again as he’s offended by his inability to pronounce his name correctly.

But they have had a bid for Bolton’s Kevin Nolan accepted.

Blackburn striker Matt Derbyshire has joined Olympiakos on loan for the rest of the season.

Aston Villa are chasing highly rated Manchester City youngster Daniel Sturridge.

Finally, Spurs are trying to get Robbie Keane back on loan. Redknapp’s already brought Chimbonda and Defoe back to the club. They’re also rumoured to be chasing Gary Mabbutt, Vinny Samways and David Howells.

3 legends. Then Spurs ruined all their good work bringing in that Austin fella at right back. Wasn’t fit to lace Justin Edinburghs boots.

Nzogbia’s just taking the piss now, if this was a problem no one would ever have played for Bobby Robson!

Kinnear was calling him ‘Charles Insomnia’ apparently.

No excuse. Bobby Robson called Shola Ameobi Carlton Cole.

Or Carl Cort even

Oh yea, that was the one. Sorry, some average strikers who are constantly loaned out all blend into the one after a while.

Although at least Cole is starting to show some form.

Justin Edinburgh was a left back

I remember Kinnear talking about Fernando Couto once when he was a panelist on RTE and referring to him as Costa Couto!
