January Transfer Window Thread

[quote=“KIB man”]He was nowhere near good enough for them either by the way. They had some serious strikers at the time as far as I remember.

Vieri ws there and Recoba also…but Recoba never really fulfilled his potential…Keane was given games here and there…even got thrown up front with Pirlo on occasions…Pirlo is not even a striker now never mind a serious one…

Were Zamorano and Ronaldo not there aswell at same time. Nearly sure Zamorano was there anyway.

don’t know to be honest…just don’t think Keane can be judged on his time there…

Ronaldo was out injured with his knee at the time I think…Presume Zamorano was still there as he played for them for years…It is a name I haven’t heard in a while…What ever happened to the other Chilean lad Marcelo Salas?

Not on its own maybe. I just think Keane has failed at any side he has played with that had decent aspirations. The only consistent reason is that he isnt good enough.

As scummer said Keane was subject to politics at Inter and never got his game as a result.

Thought he was quite good at Leeds - particularly in his first half season on loan. Definitely didn’t fail anyway.

He’s a good player. Tremendous ability.

Arshavin looks like he may still join Arsenal.

Chelsea have got Quaresma on loan until the end of the season. That one was done long after the deadline it seemed. Don’t know if that is because it was a loan or not.

Delighted to see Quaresma in the Premier League

A good player but to paraphrase Dunphy, not a great player. Has a lot of ability and that is the main thing that frustrates me when watching him for Ireland.

Hopefully Quaresma has an impact anyway, it obviously looks like a panic signing, but it’s a panic situation given the fate of Joe Cole.

Jose obviously didnt fancy him much. Didnt pull up any trees at Barcelona either so a loan deal makes sense. With Chelsea’s lack of quality out wide he will get every chance to impress.

His big fish small pond record is similar to another deadline day mover.

I wouldn’t judge him too much on his time at Barcelona seeing as he was still a teenager when he joined…Have been very impressed with him any time I saw him at Porto…Don’t know much about his time at Inter but I remember reading that the Inter President was giving out about mourinho signing him before he got a chance to kick a ball…Chelsea are crying out for a decent wide man and I reckon he will do welll

Just give him the ball, and if he’s good enough to beat men and get crosses in then he’ll be a success. If not, nothing lost and he can fook back off to being Inter’s problem at the end of the season.

Yea not sure I rate Quaresma either to be honest. Anytime I’ve seen him he’s been very frustrating. It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on.

Quaresma is shite.

A handy guide to deciphering Redknapp’s interviews…cunt

:stuck_out_tongue:

Lot of work gone into that.

I could have sworn I posted that Redknapp thing last week. Ah well.

ask Mac, you need to patent it to prevent others using it
