Joe Canning, Unquestionably the GOAT

There’s method to Cahill pushing Tipp so hard, it clears out the dead wood for him, which is needed.

Joe has been saying it since the semi final draw was made that Galway had to push up for 70 minutes to have any chance of beating Limerick. He was blue in the face saying it.

He was right.

Shefflin dropping to one inside forward was as bad a move from the line as I’ve seen

He did, performances where excellent but results did not match. Next year is huge. Results need to match performances.

Coaching and a lad in the stands giving a bit of real time cop on, with Canning on the sideline. They wouldn’t be trotting around with the head down if he was there surely, lads he knows, and played with.

Richie O’Neill was in with Shefflin I’m sure

They were very impressive in the Gaelic Grounds, I was most surprised with how up for it Pat Horgan was. He was waning bigtime under Kingston.

there seemed to be a pattern where Cork would switch off in games and find themselves 7-8 points down, a 15 minute dull patch. they need to tighten that up.

Cork are the best team Limerick played this year

If Cork can bring a bit more of the ‘fuk outa the way’ attitude and extra conditioning next year they should get out of Munster. They must have been sick watching Tipp later on.

A bit of the Ben O’Connor ate you without salt

He’s been saying it for years in fairness to him. You get the sense he’d love to be out there leading a team to take them on.

bring on a few of those u20’s who have the dog in them. they’ll need to stick or twist with the likes of Lehane, Harnedy and Horgan, great lads who’ve soldiered a long time but I don’t think they’ll get there with them starting

A big winter ahead for Pat Ryan

they put 1-30 up against Limerick.

They can’t be all starting at all, 10 20 mins finishers, I couldn’t see Horgan accepting that though. Standing around waiting to take frees to keep up with TJ’s scoring record isn’t going to to cut it though

Sure they’ve been looking for that for the last 20 odd years. They didn’t get out of Munster because they weren’t good enough to. Perhaps they’re improving. They need to, but I’m not buying the cork hurling renaissance just yet.

He looked to have been told that though, firs time I saw him come back behind the half way line chasing anyone in a long time. Pat Ryan hauled off Kingston with disgust after he casually fucked over two wides after each other. Ben O’Connor was roasting any lad with any bit of a wane at all. Right job

Horgan was well worth his starting place this year.

100% yeah, was flying around the place in Limerick. Cork do need more players though. 15 is not enough anymore

Jesus isn’t Cathal O’Neill off the bench a scandal, rolls royce stuff at the moment

Yeah, its keeping that work rate for 70+ mins is important. Its not easy to change culture. Cork teams prior to last year, would leave you underwhelmed with the ‘lack of effort’. That change in attitude comes from the top down, and Pat Ryan deserves huge credit for that.

My concern is that Horgan and Harnedy were the two who led the resistance against Limerick. Two generational talents at the end of their careers. I don’t know how we can replace these two in the near term.

There is lots of talent coming through, but its night and day comparing senior intercounty to U20.

Maybe lads will step up. Connolly back would be a huge help.

Things are very positive but I would not be banking on them getting out of Munster next year. If they did, they could go far.

Full back is still a huge problem for Cork also. It’s vital and the lads tried there aren’t good enough.

Cork scored more than anyone else in Munster this year.

Mightn’t be next year either yeah, still a bit early for a lot of those 20’s. The likes of Clare’s Rogers would find them out quick, whatever they’re feeding them in Clare they are getting big
