Joe Canning, Unquestionably the GOAT

Should be thanking their lucky stars we had the few percent knocked off Kilkenny

Sure it was the difference. Kilkenny playing for the 3rd time in 14 days and big Walter missing. They wouldn’t have to think back too far for an example of how playing 3 championship games in 14 days would impact on a team.

Kehers scoring is phenomenal really considering smaller hurleys, heavier balls etc

And the butchering that went on.

Imagine if he had played in the 73 final. He would have wiped the floor with ye.

You’ve spent the whole summer telling us that the reigning All Ireland Champions and this year’s finalists are yesterday’s men. Brian Cody is truly yesterday’s man.

Galway have beaten Kilkenny 5 times in Championship hurling during Brian Cody’s tenure. Nobody else even comes close to that - Cork are next on 3 and Tipperary and Wexford are on 2.

Joe has scored 9-93 against Kilkenny alone. That’s an average of over 9 points a game over a total of 13 games. Surely the greatest single opponent Kilkenny have ever faced.

And did it despite being marked by the best defender of all time for a good few of those games.

A prolific scoring machine like that other great Galwegian, Harry Kane.

Usually was the only opponent when we played Galway alright

NOGRA have silenced @lazarus :grinning:

It’s possible, but very unlikely, that he just read back over his posts and got embarrassed.

You couldn’t embarrass him

Taking Limerick lads out 3 at a time just like Joe does on the pitch.

You have them in disarray.

@anon61956325 has thrown in the towel, sure he was only ever a marginal Limerick supporter anyway.

Have you the stats for championship games outside of Leinster ?

The forums supreme event junkie, he didn’t even know Limerick had a team until jp started pumping money into them

Lads like him should be on a refused entry list to Croke Park.
