Ahahaha … He’s a calamity.
I was way ahead of the curve in calling this clown out for what he was. I notice my detractors are eerily quiet on this thread. Cat got your tongue gola, Sandymount Red et al.?
A minor blip for the Englishman.
Joe Hart is no David De Gea thats for sure.

‘Exposed skin creates a slippery surface,’ insists Corrigan
I’m a fan of Joe Hart but that was a dreadful error. It was a lazy, half arsed attempt at a save and he paid the price for a lack of professionalism
Joe’s showbiz now innhe.
Needs a toe up the hole, but still a magnificent keeper.
Hart has always had a weakness with his handling. Obviously that one at the weekend he should have just caught but if he knew he was in trouble he should have just palmed it away. As good a shotstopper as he’s been, he gives up plenty of chances and goals from spilling (usually much trickier) shots in front of him.
Don’t know about that to be honest Rocko. He tends to get a good hand/fist on shots and crosses. Seems to be getting his timing wrong a bit for shots from distance of late. I suspect he may have put on a few pounds this season and maybe a bit of believing some of the hype about him. Same could apply to quite a few City players this season - Lescott, Aguero, Nasri, Silva - all gone backwards
Agree on Lescott and Aguero but not the other two. Nasri rarely impressed me last season anyway. Silva though is still a really great footballer. He’s playing in a team that’s floundering somewhat though and he’s not the kind of player to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and bring the performances of his teammates up a notch, he needs other players playing well around him.
Don’t see Hart as being overweight either, he looks fit enough to me. And, ffs, he’s a goalkeeper. Neville Southall was hardly a waif.
I think it’s an overconfidence thing. He’s spilled a few mediocre shots in front of him in CL games this season and last. I’m sure they’re mostly referenced on this thread. I think there’s a pattern of trying to catch balls he should be beating away and parrying the ball out in front instead of away to the sides.
The main problem here is the lack of competition he has a club and country. I don’t think you would see these sort of errors if he had proper competition.
I think you’re spot on with the overconfidence thing Rocko. I think a sharp toe up the hole from Battara would be the best solution here.
Hardly threw it into his own net but a definite fuck up.should have saved it…
Renton and all the Leith folk will be loving this.
1-1 wallcott

Did you see the one Hart threw into his net a few minutes ago?[/quote]
No, but I look forward to it. What an absolute clown.
What was he at?
