Ryler studied journalism in Ballyfermot and got into RTĆ on the basis of āpullā from his mother, Barbara Nugent a newspaper owner. It was remarkable that he progressed as far as he did in the organisation, though in fairness he is a āRock boy.

He used to present āThe Gripā with Kathryn Thomas I think back in the day. It was a sports show focussed on young people and it was on The Den.

I only ever darkened the doors of Kielys in Donnybrook once and within 15 minutes had nodded at Darce and found myself immersed in conversation with Ryle about the relative merits of Rob Kearney and Luke Fitzgerald
Iāve had some small dealings with Ryle over the last few years and found him to be an absolute gent. Iād always assumed he was a bit of a cunt. Itās taught me the dangers of making assumptions about people.

My main issue with ryler is that he has the most horrendous commentating voice I can yet recall encountering.
