John Delaney - Ireland's Shame

Ryler studied journalism in Ballyfermot and got into RTƉ on the basis of ā€œpullā€ from his mother, Barbara Nugent a newspaper owner. It was remarkable that he progressed as far as he did in the organisation, though in fairness he is a ā€˜Rock boy.

Informative. She was involved in the Tribune wasnt she?

He used to present ā€˜The Gripā€™ with Kathryn Thomas I think back in the day. It was a sports show focussed on young people and it was on The Den.

I thought that was a broadcast specific course in fairness?

In fairness Ballyfermot produced two Oscar winners.

I only ever darkened the doors of Kielys in Donnybrook once and within 15 minutes had nodded at Darce and found myself immersed in conversation with Ryle about the relative merits of Rob Kearney and Luke Fitzgerald

Iā€™ve had some small dealings with Ryle over the last few years and found him to be an absolute gent. Iā€™d always assumed he was a bit of a cunt. Itā€™s taught me the dangers of making assumptions about people.

By all accounts, a thoroughly decent fella.

As for losing sporting rights on his watch, Iā€™d say he had little to no say when it came to actually spending (or not spending) money

Why have 6N rugby when you can pay Ray Darcy the guts of 500k pa

Dā€™Arcy may get 500k per annum but has had to live through Enda as Taoiseach and his fiancee sucking off a stripper on her hen night

My main issue with ryler is that he has the most horrendous commentating voice I can yet recall encountering.

Delaney seriously owned Rhys there.

PM please :joy::joy::joy:

Iā€™d imagine that is fairly self explanatory mate.

Patrice Evra passed on that rumour. And itā€™s not libel as I didnā€™t specify which fiancee

Whatā€™s this now?

Just finished the book.

The only conclusion I can come to is that John is just too God damn generous. His kindness was his ultimate undoing.

Robbie Keane comes across as a right little cunt though.
