Limerick people must be asking themselves how did Keily allow SON to get inside his head so easily. There is a lot of bad blood there, even before the whole Ronan Lynch saga erupted. Keily would not be as revered in the city as much as he is out in the sticks thats for sure

Na Piarsaigh sowed the seeds for Limericks the counties success, they thought the county how to win but Keily wont play any of them. This is the source of the beef between them but theres more to it than that

Personally I believe it all started at the 2015 u21 all Ireland. With Limerick winning at a canter, Lynch was hauled off. When questioned why he was taken off he was told he "didn’t work hard enough " Kiely said as much in an interview after the game. I’m sure if you Google it, you’ll find it. That imo is where it all started and Kiely doesn’t trust him to put in the hard yards. You’ll get lads who will disagree with me but I’d be 95% sure that’s when the love affair started to come to an end.

Keily appears to leave a trail of destruction after his post match interviews, would PJ not fork out out for a bit of media coaching, it might save him having to make any more grovelling apologies in the future. Limerick is a proud hurling county who have enjoyed some great wins in recent years. Off the field, at underage up to senior, we have always had a great relationship with the officers, management, and players, and that will continue.
