John Kiely - Same old Kiely, šŸ always winning

Even our mortal enemies can acknowledge JK is a gent of a man.

Iā€™m sure when he had a look back at the game he saw things differently and thatā€™s entirely understandable and fair play to him for coming out and clarifying the position.

Nawful dig

I donā€™t think you can pinpoint any one example but i do think RL doesnt fit the mould of the typical limerick player at the moment. In that all ireland I think lynch came came off very late in the game.

Iā€™m fairly happy with that Bump tbh.

Christ thereā€™s been some woeful dog shit posted on this thread in the last 48hrs. Without naming names, some posters clearly have some serious mental issues.

Heā€™d want to learn a bit more about rubby you mean?

Weā€™re here for you buddy.

We thought you had gotten over the seethe and ā€˜Moved Onā€™ :grinning:

Listening to the Independent podcast there with Brendan Cummins, He seems to support the idea that the Galway players had a strategy for winning soft frees.

About 43 minutes into it, Brendan suggested that the Galway players were being cute, and dip their heads into the Limerick players arms and then appeal to the ref to win a few soft frees

Perhaps the few lads on here who are supporting the ā€˜Simulationā€™ tactics will see sense.

You can forget about Cummins as a man.

In January 2014, Cummins was unveiled as the new goalkeeping coach for the Kerry hurling team, working under Tipperary native Eamonn Kelly .[37][38] However, for Kerryā€™s 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup Semi-Final match against Carlow, Cummins failed to show up, opting instead to commentate on the Senior Hurling Quarter-Final between his native Tipperary, and Galway, in which Tipperary were beaten.

You are being very unfair on Brendan. A good hurling man.

Wonder what Brendan would make of the free making machine that is Dan McCormack?

Two ways of looking at this.

Firstly, JK genuinely believes Galway players were playing for frees, after watching the match back. But not wishing to be at odds with Galway management/players, has offered an apology to ā€œsave faceā€, while still believing there was simulation.

Or, having rewatched the match, JK does not see sufficient evidence to back up his claims. And has genuinely apologised

I see the latter as being the more likely of the two scenarios. It takes a bigger man to apologise and admit his mistake. The man has gone up in my estimation. While having also made his point to officialdom at large re the physicality of the sport.

A few lads have made holy shows of themselves, but tbf they backed Kiely and he hung them out to dry. What could they do in fairness?

A Tipp man taking a chance to have a cut off Galway.

Well I never.

it does seem a bit unfair, considering all the Tipperary lads were defending the Galway ā€˜Simulationā€™ this week.
