'Humphreys is wearing a blue shirt, patterned tie, navy suit jacket, black trousers and black Nike runners’.
The journalist, who has not written for The Irish Times since 2011 and was let go from the newspaper after pleading guilty to sexual offences last March, went on to sexually abuse the girl on five occasions.
So, was he still drawing a wage from The Irish Times up until the point he pleaded guilty?

Sentencing adjourned to later this month despite today being the date of the sentencing hearing.
Judge obviously feels he has done enough work for the day.

No need to be so cynical.
It had to be done for the purposes of justice therefore we cannot question him.
I found that odd myself, although in the context of some guy fiddling with a 14 year old girl, odd is probably to be expected

V hard to fire someone without guilt being proven id say? Must have sickened his colleagues when was load of redundancies and paycuts there around that time
That can’t be right. That’s over 10 an hour for every waking hour for 3 months solid. How would a 14 year old even afford the credit for that?
If her 45 year old abuser was paying for it?
I see the girl had an eating disorder too. Not that it would have been alright if she was in her full mental health obviously, but fucking hell that’s truly preying on the vulnerable.
