I was talking to a fella called Gerry Maguire who runs Carne Golf Links and he said Bill Murray bought 7 overseas life memberships for himself, brothers, sons etc at 3 grand a pop last year, he was so taken with the place. He happened on Belmullet after documentary makers took him there as an effort to re launch Irish tourism/golf tourism. Gerry was hoping the documentary would gain traction and be a good marketing tool but Bill had a case to answer with some woman he may have acted inappropriately around which has lead to a delay in its release.
