I can safely say this is the greatest conversation I have ever seen on the Internet

An awful lot of players start at that age, those are just at the top of my head - as the old adage goes in football - if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.

Holy fuck.

And most of them tend to be washed up by the time they’re 30

Kev starting from a very strong position has managed to make a complete tit of himself in this thread. What a surprise :joy:

Have their careers not been successes?

Has Rooney not achieved an awful lot despite how much the English built him up to be? I think he’d be pretty happy with his career, Fabregas too.

@caoimhaoin is destroying them here the likes of @Mac has no answer to him

It’s a separate conversation but I’d say Rooney and Fabregas would both be a little dissapointed with how their careers turned out in their late twenties when most are at their peak.

Of course it matters. You are questioning ny professiinal ability. I want to know are you a crank or have you some substance. If you are willing to criticise without having any real knowledge of what i do then you should be willing to at least reveal your own abilities or profession. Or else you will just be considered a weak cunt.

I work with kids. I am professional qualified and insured to do so. Are you? I am qualified, and in fact required, to give feedback to parents.

If you are as dumb as TSG and think its just about teach a kid to squat, don’t bother answering.

Their medals and bank balances will be of some comfort for them. I’m sure the 16 year old Rooney and Farbegas would have bit your hand off for it. They reached their potential, they won many big trophies between them, scored hundreds of goals and played hundreds of games.

You’re professionally qualified and insured in the field you are professionally qualified and insured in. I’m calling out your overstepping of that. That’s substance in and of itself. Anyone can point that out, no matter what they do. You aren’t qualified to give feedback to parents on their child’s mental state or any conditions they may have.

This thread is proof that there’s no viable sport to watch this afternoon.

Ah no.

Of course i can discuss whatever i want with them. And i see that they cognitive and movement skills are impaired and i know or am informed by oarent or kid that they spend little time out then i will suggest that as a priority. If working with me and that does not improve it (9/10 times it will) i will advise and refer to psychologist as it may be beyond me.

But i can discuss whatever the hell i want. And to suggest anything else is PC bullshit.

Doesn’t prove anything

It proves they had successful careers.

The 17 year old Rooney and Fabregas would have had far greater expectations of their standing in the game approaching 30.
They’ve not had to worry about money since they were teenagers, are you suggesting they have no bit of pride in themselves?

I don’t think players think about what level they will be playing at in their 30s when 17.

I think they will evaluate their careers more so on what they achieved and earned rather than how long they can keep playing at the their peak until.

Rooney for instance is one of the highest paid players in the world.
England’s all time top scorer
Over 100 caps for England.
Won CL, FA Cup and EPLs with Utd.
2nd on the all time top scorers in the EPL.

I reckon he’d be happy if you told him he would achieve all that at 17.

You’ve climbed down a long way from claiming to be able to professionally identify mental conditions. But even still, advising in a professional context on matters you have no qualification in is still very problematic.

In any case, why would you refer them to a psychologist for a something that isn’t clinically recognised?

Exactly, so adults should be thinking for them.
