Karamoko Dembele

The club’s motives are as clear as day, but people on the internet defending those actions is what has us rational minded posters up in arms. The gas thing is if Sevco had done it the likes of @Nembo_Kid and @Bandage would have been up in arms over it and used it as a stick to beat them with, but it’s grand if Celtic are doing it.

I find the practice no more worse than playing 15 and 16 year old at first team football football which is a widespread practice. I worked on building sites during the school holidays when I was 13 . I believe kids shouldn’t be mollycoddled. If Karamoko is good enough he is old enough. He certainly looks thrilled and elated at the childhood he is having. Loads of people here mad jealous of a 13 year old kid.

No, Heffo spruced the dossier.

@ChocolateMice, @Piles_Hussain - I think you’ve got it completely wrong, chaps. The kid can’t sign professional terms for another few years so can move on without a transfer fee (as I understand it). Celtic playing him in this game the other night may be more detrimental to making money from him as it’s put him on the radar of clubs in stronger leagues. An example of this was the kid Islam Feruz a few years ago who was hyped up after excelling coming up through Celtic’s age group team, turned down his professional contract offer and promptly signed for Chelsea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_Feruz

I don’t have strong views one way or the other on him being played the other night.

What does your pal think, who hates his job?

Ooooft

Then I saw that Donegal fella shaking is hand, Derek Mcgrath or whatever you call him, so wrong on so many levels, basically he was approving child abuse

[quote=“flattythehurdler, post:226, topic:23164, full:true”]It seems a clumsy enough misstep which, if nothing else, has exposed him to the broader public, which is no good thing, triply so in Glasgow, where the sectarian bitterness is such that it could provoke extreme reactions if he is recognised in public.
It’s not long ago that a 13 year old boy had his throat cut on a busy Glasgow street in broad daylight, simply because he was wearing a Celtic top.

Jesus, whatever about the rights and wrongs of playing him from the perspective of whether he’s developed enough there’s a touch of going down the victim blaming route there.

It’s easy spot the lads who were shit at sport and were kept out of teams by lads in age groupings below them. They still haven’t quite got over it.

Not surprising from a guy who called millionaire footballers “indentured slaves”.

Thats because you do not understand Human Biology, Movement or Growth.

Your overestimate the importance of things you have a very basic knowledge of.

@Nembo_Kid getting an unmerciful kicking today, even his allies are joining in. :flushed:

You are a fucking idiot. Debate with you is utterly pointless as all you get back is whataboutery and strawman.
That is all.

The phrase you’re looking for is utter-scutter.

Did I just read this correctly. Are you seriously suggesting if little johnny or joany are not doing well in your training sessions and don’t improve over time you go to the parents and tell them to bring their child to a psychologist!!

Unlike lads who have never lived anywhere else, I have experienced the sectarian bile that Glasgow spews up first hand. Victim blaming? I’m not at all sure I follow you here. If you think it is a triviality, you need to inform yourself a little better.
My honest perception was that it was nastier from the rangers side of things, but I did once go to a hearts match in a section of the stand which seemed to house mostly travelling NI fans, many of whom seemed more interested in gurning at the adjacent hearts fans than watching the football, so it may just be bias on my part.

Doing well? Its not a pass fail thing. Parents come to me sometimes at the end of their tether. Society, schools, government etc send down all sorts of blind alleys when the answer is in front of their face. Exercise. However it has often been made an ugly word for them or they have bad experiences due to bullying, lack of skill ability at sport or whatever. Or what seems to be a major issue is they have been labeled with ADHD or Aspergers or whatever and they are either using it themselves as an excuse or being bullied or left out due to it. The bullying and exclusion shockingly enough can sometimes come from coaches, teachers or other kids parents.

I just try and get them going. Enjoying exercise. Strength training, fucking medicine balls around the place, hitting me with tennis balls, nods and volleys, badminton or whatever gets them to enjoy exercise. Then parents might try and coax them back into sport or other activities.

However sometimes thats not the answer and someone with a deeper knowledge of the childs mind and/or the environment driving the situation will be a better option or someone to work in conjunction with.
