I know it’s not a serious issue in the present climate but if euro’s is postponed until 2021 who will get the Ireland job? I would be hoping for Kenny but micks chums in the media like Philip Quinn etc will push a strong campaign to keep him in the job.

There have been mitigating factors but MxCarthy’s second reign has been pretty awful.

In fairness he has unearthed some new talent. That holding midfielder Whelan looks like he could be around for a while.

The Georgia away match and first half of Switzerland away was the worst I’ve seen from an Irish team.

Every Irish game away in Georgia for the last decade has been torture if truth told . I take your point re the Swiss game but it has competition for the worst performance over a decade . To be honest we had the 3rd best set of players in that group and finished 3rd .

Happy to see Kenny get a chance, but can’t understand why lot of people think success is guaranteed
What defines success for an Irish side? I very much doubt anyone is expecting us to romp a major tournament.
It’s time for Kenny to come in. Bringing Mick back was a mistake for Ireland.
I don’t think that’s true at all. Switzerland and Denmark are better teams than us and that’s the way it panned out. We were excellent in the last game against Denmark and unlucky not to win and therefore qualify
