Goals are goals and always will be, but it not like they’re handpassing over the bar for 2 points. An arcing long ranger is a thing of beauty. Less goals wouldnt be ideal, but I’m not sure this is a deal breaker just yet, especially on a trial basis with the option to tweak it at any point in the year.

We’re fighting for the soul of the game here, its worth a risk or two.

Exactly, leave the 4 point goal in

Agreed. But it can be added either. Both works for a trial. I’m in.

Ban fisted points, at least from a hand pass. Job is oxo

Agreed. They serve absolutely no function.

No just ban them

Its such an obvious one and would immediately increase the amount of goal attempts. What’s the possible reason for keeping it in? Jim Gavin has hardly overlooked it

Jim might come back at some stage

Most corner backs can’t kick the ball,a lot of these fisted points sre from defenders going up the field.Id ban them outright if I had my way.Theres no skill involved.

The Niall Scully goal, ie slapping the ball into the net from close in, should go as well.

I’d prefer to see him come back somewhere else. Do a Micko on it.

Aidan Forker softened his cough.

I can see a movement coach having an reply here shortly.

Yer man is an absolute eegit. He later apologised to forker for giving a big serious reply as he thought forker was as earnest as him and p7 was leaving cert honours or something. Its 6th class
