Having played an integral part in Kilkenny football, I’m delighted.

That chap who was marking Dermot Earley all those years ago is hardly still kicking ball? This a great day for him and his people.

Cody will have a big job to keep the hurlers focused now with the football celebrations going on for the week.

A gentleman he is.

it is ironic , alright kilkenny footballers managed by a kerry hurler from a club in kerry that plays no football!

anyways well done Christy

Kilkenny were a decent football side for years. They played an epic game against Lancashire a few years back. I thought the standard was excellent. It was proper hard football taken seriously. Gave me a new respect for just how good, and hard football is at the sharp end. Made me think at the time that if that kk team were somehow the subject of mockery, it was unfair and mean. They were very good. Not all six foot four behemoths, but fit, organised, skilful and hard working (as were Lancashire).

Great use of ground hurling by Kilkenny in the lead up to the last goal. Soccering it in!!

That’s fucking disgusting.

If that goal was scored in hurling, ie all ground hurling, it would be lauded!

By winning the Junior, do we go up intermediate now?
