It’s not a bad team all round to be honest. Difficult to know how it’ll go for Hogan. That whole half back line / midfield is interchangeable so god knows how they’ll line out.
Backs look strong enough, although Paul Murphy has been a bit of a weakness at times this year
Cody did similar against Limerick last year, Hogan in from the start and went centre forward and they and pushed TJ Reid into the full forward line for the first twenty mins. They tried their level best to bury limerick with goals then for that twenty. I’d expect them to try something along those lines again tomorrow.
Cody knows Cork have them over the seventy so he’ll be going all in to put doubts in their heads early. Expect a hail of ball into Kk full forward line in the first twenty mins. If Cork can weather that they’ll win.
Corks full back line is their Achilles heal though, KK will look to exploit it.
This Kilkenny team don’t have the players to blitz teams, they’ll fight like dogs with anyone but nothing will be guaranteed until the final whistle is blown
Cork never score more than 2 goals. Their forwards prefer taking the handy point to get their name on the scoreboard. Limerick and Tipp will always go for goals when there is a quarter chance of one. Cork lack that ruthless streak
No, they don’t. I think if Cork score 2 goals, it’s very unlikely that they will lose. Cork are a very good pointscoring team and I think it’s Kilkenny that will need the goals.
