Good spot for a game alright, the raised banks either side give it a bit of a cauldron feel on a warm summer evening when there’s a decent crowd in attendance.
We used play at lot of games in Carrigeen when the junior south championship was on the go and venues were neutral, always liked the pitch there and into the Royal Oak for a few after.
Kilkenny remain the best yardstick of where a side is at. They will give 100% of what they have, be it effort, propaganda, referee management, misinformation, whatever it takes, to win.
I can’t see them winning it out, but it’ll take a decent performance by a decent side to beat them. I’d love to see them against limerick.
