Kilkenny Hurling

I don’t, happy to take a PM as to this individual’s name ( no pun intended)

I think we will leave it there.

Genuinely interested, club will do.

I am pretty sure you can find out who was managing Carrigeen in 2018.

I’ll check it out, as you said, we’ll leave it there.

I am I right in saying Carrigeen didn’t win one game under Leahy and their season is over?? :open_mouth:

Lost all league games, yes. Now in a championship first round, which they will lose.

To be fair to JL, not his fault. The proverbial hiding to nothing.

Heard nothing but I’d say merge is the wrong word, takeover maybe

He gets a free bag of calf nuts from the local co-op.

I remember years ago Carrigeen running a senior hurling tournament every summer, all the top teams from South Kilkenny, South Tipp and East Waterford used be in it, all the intercounty players used play in it. Now county players are wrapped in cotton wool for most of the year and these tournaments are no more.
Carrigeen have a fine pitch for a small junior club with no underage.

Those tournaments were vicious affairs back in the day

Was the previous manager a Davins man? Our lads played them in a challenge a few years ago and they had a few former Davins players well good enough for a higher level running the show on the pitch

I believe so.

There are highly entertaining stories about how Carrigeen attracted some of their recruits.

They were like championship games, serious hurling

Smashing 2nd half out of the 17’s there

how’d it finish. in work here

Looked way bigger and faster… And well coached.

Won by 11 or 12 in the end

I thought limerick looked bigger. Looked like they threw the towel in a bit early too.

Who would you get in to replace Cody for the final @GeoffreyBoycott ?

Both teams in the final, magic
