Urligford are scutter in fairness. Was Stoney Burke the last county player they produced?

Taggy

I forgot Taggy

Lyng also

Urlingford upset Tullogher in the junior qf today. Taggy still going strong for them.

Fifi was the beginning of the end for them.

That’s a big win for Urlingford

Danesfort are down from Senior. GBC beat them by two points above on the Green.
Mooncoin had a good win over Conahy, they’ll be there or there abouts. Piltown won too.

Galmoy and Johnstown would be a better fit. They joined up at minor 20 odd years ago for a year and did okay but it wasnt continued. Several years ago when Galmoy were short numbers they joined up with Windgap who are a good 40 miles away. Theres serious rivalry amongst clubs around there as a lot of lads go to the tech in johnstown. And for as long as i can remember time Fenians were top dogs. The fenians are proud men and it will kill them when they eventually do end up down junior. And I have to admit i’ll take some pleasure in it.

We’d a couple of galmoy lads hurl with us in manc. Seriously talented lads.

Bit of wildness in them too

Well you know why that is right

One of them on the run after screwing his parents (and many others) over…

Oh yes. One was the gentlest and kindest soul you’d ever meet. Never saw him miss a free. He put one over into a gale in the county final against @Declan_Moffat s lot, which I swear I thought he had mishit. A long belt, he must have started it about three or four metres wide to the left, it seemed to blow so far right in flight I thought it was going wide on that side, before coming back in and gently dropping right over the black spot. A crucial free near the end which helped win us our first county final, and the first time we ever beat Mitchels, who were a fine side.
I said to him over a drink later that I’d never seen anything like it. He just smiled his quiet smile, and said matter of factly “ah, I never miss frees”. I think he was too laid back to get nervous. He was a great great lad.

I’m good pals with a Fenians old timer. He maintains a join up with Galmoy is a no brainer. He also mentioned about the Rathdowney Errill combo across the border has cost them players they previously would’ve got in the past.

Such as?

This is going way back. Into the 70s I think.
