King Henry of Galway (Part 1) 👑

When was the last time both county teams were still in the championship at the start of race week?

2001?

Has to have been 2001

I think yesterday give some back up to the players revolt against Cunningham.

I thought the way Donoghue got his starting selection right and more importantly got us set up correctly for the second half with Hartes positioning was central to that win over Clare yesterday. There was a 10 minute period in the game in the second half where in the past we would have leaked more scores.

I also think Donoghues insight into the Tipp dressing room will be a big benefit to Galway in the preparation for AI semi final.

He was highly regarded by the Tipp players, not much of an endorsement I know.

What was his actual role in there?

He used to collect lads from Lar’s bar & drop them home without anyone knowing. He used to sleep in his car in the adjoining car park waiting for calls.

That’s a very informative rating.

Can anyone list the full panel from Sunday for me, or throw up a pic of the programme page of it?

I assume you know the starting 15. The rest of the players in the program were:
Skehill, Killeen, Collins, Moore, Glennon, Breheny, Smith, Maloney, N. Burke, Donnellan, Molloy.

Now that is a score. Lovely.

If he did that and missed you’d eff him out of it, not to mind the over-carrying. Scór deas tho.

If his surname wasn’t Canning this would have seen the light of day ffs…

He’s a decent hurler tbf

Something to whet the appetite for tomorrow…

This was a fair trampish hit on him. The more things change…
