James Horan managing turlough??

Story goes the chairman brought him in to do a root and branch review of the club. Horan came back with a report containing something like 130 recommendations. When they went looking for a new manager they couldn’t find someone capable of implementing all these changes so they ended coming back to the author.

jesus they love spending money. did he ever manage a hurling team before I wonder?

Not that I know of. Apparently he burned too many bridges in Mayo to take a club job there. Fair result to beat Thomas’s though?

Well lads things are shaping up well enough. Nice to win a league granted Tipp didn’t show up today but that’s their problem. The team had a solid feel to it today, Daithi at 3 and Gearoíd at 6 is the way to go I reckon.
Who makes way for Johnny Glynn up front is the question? Jason Flynn and Conor Whelan excelled today, Flynn missed a few but they’ll be going over another day. Both have to start as must Mannion and Conor Cooney. It’s Joe Cooney likely to make way I’d say.

Selection problems are the best problems to have.

It’s actually going eerily well with the Hurlers and the footballers winning their respective leagues and an U-21 Final to look forward to next week. What gives?

Ya you would have to say joe will be the one to suffer

I think the Johnny Glynn thing feels wrong, and shouldn’t be continued. There’s no luck in it.

Would you fuck off, I think the manager who just handed Tipp their arses and made all the right decisions on the day knows best.

Dunno, I mean, having a happy camp is a dangerous thing, no harm throw a lad into the mix who might breed resentment among the rest of the lads. What could go wrong.

I don’t see that Glynn immediately comes in. Maybe by the end of summer if he gets a lot more hurling done. Sub role for a while first and then it will come down to form.

Glynn needs time. He took a shoulder today and it shook him
back in 2015 he’d have levelled your man.

He’ll have to prove himself sure.

Dunno. The modern player is basically selfish and if enough of the squad feel that JG can get the team over the line in September they will live with it .

Nobody on today’s evidence. Unless running into lads and turning the ball over is what you’re in to

How many rounds of club champ will be fitted in between now and the Dublin game for the Galway lads to knock seven shades of shit out of each other?

TBF it only takes one round.
