I wouldn’t touch the HB line, they are playing well as a unit. Padraig is excellent in the air and his distribution is generally very good. Lack of obvious specialist corner backs is our biggest weakness I would say, but it’s something for Donoghue to work on.
Touhy wouldn’t be a natural corner back would he? I’d imagine he’d be more comfortable further out the field. Dillon turned him easily a few times on Sunday but he showed a good ability to recover.
Correct.
Most intercounty backs wouldnt be specialist corner backs though. Is the day of the specialist back is nearly gone? I suppose you’ll still get away with slower bigger fellas down the spine.
I presume it is the hardest position to fill at inter county as most corner backs play somewhere else for their clubs.
Barrett and Connors would strike me as the most natural corner backs currently playing. Quick with a low centre of gravity. Lads like Paul Murphy have done very well after being converted into the position.
When was he converted into it? He played corner back for Kilkenny underage
Wouldn’t have played there for his club though.
Barrett and Connors both have as well as as at Harty
Michael Walsh was over the county u-21s and switched Murphy from midfield to corner back

Turlough are going well, the cunts
Portumna are a shadow, dads army at this stage. Daithi kept JC to two from play though and they had a few heated exchanges supposedly (thats jusssst great) turlough have no forwards to speak of
My beloved rhn took a bit of a trimming.
I believe Daithi lost 4 teeth. Well implants as opposed to teeth.
Lovely bit of bite by all accounts
Sweet Jesus.
Here we go again.
Only in fucking Galway.
Shtop let ya. Do you want them holding hands in a championship match?
I’d rather daithi Burke, quite possibly the best defender in the country, hadn’t had four teeth knocked out by a colleague in the middle of the championship, yes.
Do you know that’s how it happened?
Not sure if Joe was the cause.
No, It seemed to be suggested above. I was talking about any fellow senior club level Hurler btw.
Johnny isn’t that type of player.
