Incredibly, while Tipp would vote for Keadyās reinstatement through their county secretary Tommy Barrett, it was subsequently revealed that four Connacht Central Council delegates voted against.
And, ultimately, the appeal was lost 20-18, Keady ā essentially ā let down by his own province.

The truth is Tipperary reported him in the first place. What they did after was sleeveenism and irrelevant really.
Hogan has two attempts in that article, from the mawkish made up bullshit about a chainsaw on the Tipp bus to the vote story, to promote his own county and make them out to be innocent of any wrong doing to Tony Keady.

A classy hurler who was as tough as fuck. The sort of lad youād always want on your side cos heād break himself in half for the team. His dual with Mulcahy in the 1990 final was brilliant. RIP.

Did Mark Foley not play at 11 in 90?
Mulcahy was 11 in 86 as far as I remember, scored a goal in both those finals, super goal in 86.

Foley started at 11. For most of the 2nd half, he was wing forward, Ger Fitzgerald corner forward and Mulcahy on the '50.
