Still reeling from the battering PJ gave you today I see :grin:

He’s in galway at the minute sure. Bang of jealousy when he looks at his surroundings compared to dublin, at least he can vent it

Can one of the local Nogra take a stroll around town and put this unwelcome visitor out of his misery.

Can you tell him to take his time strolling as he has fuck all else to do?

If the Galway job came free I’d say Mattie would jump at it. Is there any chance Michael Donoghue will Jack it in?

Every chance. Pressure on him to now as well. I think one last charge for this lot is the way to go with MD still at the helm. Not that I think he’s a hurling guru or anything but what cost them last year was lack of hunger and that won’t be an issue next year with the way things went this time. They are still one of the top teams in the country.
If he does walk there will be many looking to get Kenny in but he’s been knocked back before and probably comes with a weighty price tag now. The board are skint. Lynskey is another option and probably cheaper, he’s been doing sterling work at minor level.

I’d hate to lose him here as we have had enough managerial changes in a short space of time and he seems to know what he is doing. Talking to Cuala lads they reckon he would jump at the Galway job. Hard to blame him when you take the travel and county loyalty into consideration.

MD got the job ahead of Mattie Kenny too last time, adds a bit more motivation for him maybe. Or alternatively he could tell the Co board to go fuck themselves and no one would blame him. If he believed there’s talent coming through in Dublin and he gets 100% backing for hurling there he’ll stay put I reckon

Don’t know how true but rumours are the players didn’t want him when he went for it.

The players can up and fuck

He was a right man to run out of the tunnel.

In fairness he’s not the inspiring type is he.

Don’t know much about him tbh. Has done great work in Dublin. Cunninum ran Helebert after 2013 and Kenny after 2014. I did hear players didn’t like him or Tessio but liked Helebert.

Donoghue has more than earned another year but he may not want it. It’s massive pressure. Matty will manage Galway some day but I would be dissappointed in him if he abandoned Dublin after a year, particularly after the amount of change they’ve had recently. After they entrusting him with the role, you would hope he would show a bit of loyalty to them.

If he led Galway to an All Ireland next year no one here would give a flying fuck if he abandoned Dublin after one year

I just said I would.
