Kylers?

No

Joe is on to a good thing.

The hand wringing is gasā€¦ they all claiming heā€™s not in jail because heā€™s a GAA playerā€¦ in relation to the violent disorder, wouldnā€™t suspended sentence for first time offenders with no prior be the norm?

The Limericks should boycott the RTEs

its about 50% 50% mate but the fact that he pleaded not guilty & showed no remorse as evidenced by his plea means he got off lightly

Thanks pal.

While it doesnā€™t change the acts committed, it was nearly 6 years ago now.
Heā€™s been tried.
A public trial by radio is a bit ott. Especially a part 2 if Duffy is going at it again today.

Duffy is fairly cementing himself as an utter cunt, not that we knew that anyway

He shouldnā€™t have been next nor near the All Star Team the other night but the public bashing should be aimed at the All Star Selection Committee rather than Hayes himself at this stage.

The committee seem to be getting away very lightly.

i think the ongoing dangerous driving case & the implications for him going to jail makes it current

His performances in 2024 should be struck out by his mistakes of 2019?

He was outshone twice by Deccie Dalton in 2024.

Hopefully he doesnā€™t commit any more crimes and can continue to stay out of jail in 2025.

Kyle was immense in PUC. Walked all over Dalton.

He probably cost Limerick the 5 in a row that night conceding a very preventable penalty.

Ok mate. But not sure why joe Duffy is making a 2 day circus on the assault case particularly when itā€™s been settled and the actions themselves are over 5 years old.

A different point totally.

i think its because the GGA gave him an award for being best & fairest at shinty

Kyle Hayes is a Limerick hero.

He was best and fairest n 2024.

His 2019 mistakes have no bearing on 2024.

I think there is a fine line with this though, and its not only hurling that has this sort of morale dilemma, it happens in most sports, particularly in USA.

Where do we draw the line? Is the All Star for his hurling, or is it for is standing in society? Hayes isnt the first GAA player to be in court or have convictions. He probably is a bit of a scumbag, and this is far from defending him here either. This thing of ā€œthose who havent sinnedā€ is also a load of shit. Iā€™ve been out many times, Iā€™ve never kicked the shit out of another person in a nightclub.

But all the screaming marys on twitter and facebook etc need to fuck up. You can be pissed off with him getting it, or not like him or whatever, but until there is something about the all stars having to have morality or other factors attached to it, then Hayes undoubtedly more than deserved his all star this year. All them tagging PWC or limerick GAA and whatever and going on about. Clowns. He deserved an all star for his hurling. he isnt selling himself as some sort of hero or moral guidance. Yeah you end up being an icon for younger kids being a top player and you should behave accordingly, but people shouldnt be relying on gaa stars they watch on TV for their moral guidance for their children.
