La Liga 2012/13

3-1 now. Two for Messi

Adriano it seems got the first. Started watching after the hurling. Getafe just got a double deflection goal to make it 3-1. Messi with two off the bench. The first a penalty, the second after a lovely passage of quick passing.

David Villa makes it 4-1

He is averaging a goal every 50 minutes so far this season. Unreal

The Royalist scum are one down already away to Sevilla

Another soft penalty for Barca tonight.

8 point gap now after only 4 games

Give it up lads, itā€™s over. Over. Canā€™t wait until the first Clasico against Espanyol. That will go a long way to deciding where the title ends up.

Messi not happy with David Villa this evening. Gave him a right bollocking just before half time.

6 weeks before Christmas in his first season aside Villa has been very disappointing in a Barca jersey

Villa has now been subbed

2 fine saves in as many minutes from the Granada keeper

Another fine stop by Tono

Xavi

Super strike

2 nil now

Xaviā€™s goal

Great strike by xavi. Class

Both Barca and Madrid donā€™t seem to be at the level of last year which is a good thing for European football.

Has the reason behind Ronaldoā€™s strop ever came to light? There seems to be a lot of unease at Madrid and I donā€™t see Mourinho there this time next year. To be honest I reckon the trouble is all instigated by that little cretin Casillas, heā€™s vastly overrated and canā€™t seem to take criticism at all. Heā€™s poision in that dressing room and should be turfed out, IMO. Ronaldo is the star man there and should be treated accordingly, Casillas and the rest of the Spaniards (bar Ramos) are quite ordinary and should just be grateful to play for Madrid. Iker seems like a jealous little boy who has a problem that heā€™s not the main man at Madrid, heā€™s not a patch on the humble legend that was Raul Gonzalez.

Seems to be Spain v Portugal.

While for primarily non-footballing reasons, the EPL is entertaining, students of the game will now be looking forward to seeing Real try to break down a resolute Rayo side, as well as the contrasting styles of Malaga and Bilbao.

A tense Serie A affair between Milan and udinese has whetted my appetite.

European football

would have thought Makaga and Bilboa play quite similar?..
