La Liga 2015/16

Take a bow Suarez, Valencia’s keeper should have it saved it though.

There was pace on it though

I’m probably being a bit harsh but if stood up and faced it he would have had every chance of saving it…it was near post.

Not even Joe Hart would have stopped that.

I presume Canizares is still in goals for Valencia?

Super game from the best league in the world

Serie A is on par with the Premier League, both miles behind La Liga

Serie A is on another level to both.

The Udinese B team has survived La Liga for a few seasons straight now, the football in La Liga is shit and the players are a bunch of wimps.

Why do Spanish clubs win every European competition so?

Because the gulf in class between the teams is huge.

Lazy comment from a man that obviously doesn’t watch the lower teams in La Liga. The type of comment the Premier League fanboys come out with

It’s not, weird how you say that considering the vast amount of La Liga coverage is consigned to Barca and Madrid filleting the fodder that is thrown their way.

Lots of players who have played in both leagues will tell you that Serie A is a much tougher league to play in, players don’t score 50 goals a season, the top team doesn’t run up goal differences of 80+ a season.

The one recurring theme that players who have played in the top leagues across Europe including Serie A will tell you is that Serie A is the toughest league.

A few examples of quotes from those players so? Also your stance is funny given Barcelona beat one of the best teams in Italy 6-1 the other day

Sound an awful lot like the Ulster Football championship.

Shots to the near post reach their target quicker and can thus often be harder to save if they’re struck well, which the King’s very much was.

That Bournemouth chap was also completely correct to shoot for the near post rather than the far post with that late chance he had to make to make it 2-0 against Chelsea.

Higuain: “Serie A is tougher than La Liga, that’s for sure.”

Ibrahimovic: “For me it remains the best league in the world. And also it’s the most difficult for a striker, because they think firstly about not conceding goals and then about making them.”

Morata: “It’s more difficult. There’s less space. It’s better in Europe. It [the win over Sevilla] was a great result for us."

Raul Albiol: "“I learn something new every day at Napoli. It is a different football to Spain, as here you learn to suffer and need to really sweat to win games. At Real Madrid we often had the match won after 20 minutes…”

Serie A as it currently is is a poor product.

La Liga has the best teams but the gap in class between Barcelona and the rest is too great to make it consistently interesting.

The Premier League is, by a distance, the most competitive, exciting and engaging league around. And this season is an absolute doozy.

Aye all lads who were surplus to requirements at Spanish clubs

Italian teams have smashed English teams in Europe over the past two seasons, pal.
