La Liga

Ya it took him to fuck off the team for the lads to gel together and win the euros. He was killing them. Killing them.

Incorrect

He played one final against Greece and they were beaten. At least Messi played in a World final.

I’m correct, they should compare medals.

That’s sickening for Villareal. They were 2-1 up with a few minutes to go against Celta at the weekend and lost 3-2 and then were winning 4-2 in the 90th minute and drew 4-4 tonight

He didn’t make any impact in the final, other than to increase his team’s chances by getting injured

How did he increase his teams chances?

Portugal generally have lacked attacking support for Ronaldo, Mythi on the other hand has constantly being surrounded by some of the most prolific scorers across European club football.

Ffs he was a teenager v Greece

His team were able to defend as a unit better as they had 11 players working back. Portugal are a much better team without Ronaldo going by their results recently

They defended well as a team throughout the tournament. They conceded 1 goal in 420 minutes of knockout football.

They had an easy run bar Croatia until they got to the final. The very best you can say is that Ronaldo had absolutely no impact on the outcome of the Euro 2016 Final, so your original comment was incorrect as I said

They should compare medals.

Ronaldo has his medal, he has to link up with past it journeymen like Nani and Quaresma. While Messi can’t do it with some of the most prolific attacking talent in European football.

He didn’t contribute to the victory. You wouldn’t be giving Messi the same leeway if it was the other way around. In fact you’d be using it as another stick to beat him with

I’m just pointing the difference in supporting cast between Messi and Ronaldo.

Guys like Crespo, Tevez, Aguero, Higuian, Icardi, Dybala, Lavezzi are in a different class to Nani, Quaresma, Simao, Eder, Hugo Almeida.

How many strikers can you play on one team? You’ve named 6 strikers there when only 2 at most can play at any one time. The rest of their team was a shambles during most of Messi’s career. Eder, Nani and Quaresma actually contributed to the Euro 2016 Final win unlike Ronaldo so I think you’re being unfair on them

Ronaldo contributed in the same as those guys did.

He has his medal, he was unlucky to get an injury in the final - who knows what may have happened.

There’s no who knows about Messi, we know he has bottled international tournaments with a superb supporting cast, in many cases, some of those chaps have had the watch on from the bench, from their television sets back home in their homeland as Messi has failed to deliver.

Incorrect. Ronaldo did not contribute the same as those guys did in the Euro 2016 Final. To say otherwise is ridiculous.

What superb supporting cast? Those strikers you named? Do you think Argentina should have tried a 5 striker formation with Messi behind them?

Utterly bizarre logic, Ronaldo played in the Euro 2016 final - what did Quaresma and Nani contribute?

I think a lot of these guys have been tossed aside and shown little faith in as the management team have built a team around a guy who consistently fails on the international stage.

Icardi watched the last World Cup from his TV set, Dybala watched it from the bench. Mythi failed to deliver. I think Argentina need a ballsy manager who will drop Messi, too many managers have ignored the other outstanding talents they have and built a team around a proven failure.

How is it bizarre? You do realise Quaresma and Nani both played the majority of the game, yes? Ronaldo got injured after a few minutes and then hobbled on for a while longer until he went off, he contributed nothing to the win.

Messi’s time with Argentina has been their best for many years even in spite of all the problems they’ve had.

Messi got the goal to get Argentina through the group in the last World Cup and then got 3 assists against the eventual winners in the next round. Some failure

Drop it man, they both out on their own just behind Maradona
