La Liga

You haven’t addressed the question. I asked what Quaresma and Nani contributed to the final, playing a match is merely fulfilling your duty - it’s not a contribtion - Ronaldo has an injury - he also played in the final so either playing in the final is merely a contribution or Quaresma or Nani did something extraordinary?

Messi has consistently failed in the knockout stages of international tournaments, he has consisntently failed to impact in these stages, with world class players around him, not a few lads from Southampton, the Turkish league, a lad sitting on the bench for a mid table Ligue 1 side.

Various managers have tried everything with Messi, they have moulded the team around him, they have ignored some of the most prolific players in European football. They have guys like Di Maria and Mascherano leading the charge for them while their star man consistently goes hiding. He has had all the supporting cast he needs, a team pretty much full to the brim of players plying their trades for the top European sides, overflowing with top European domestic titles and CL winners.

Portugal are generally a well organised, workman like side and they only really have Ronaldo up there to make things happen. Argentina don’t have that problem, they have all the supporting cast for Messi - from back to front but he just never seems to deliver when it really matters on the international stage.

I have it on good authority Ronaldo would have scored a hat trick in that final had he not gotten injured

You lost me at di Maria, probably been responsible for more collapses in Europe than the roman empire

Hooch is crazy

Applying your logic, Ronaldo got 2 goals in the final group game of Euro 2016 when Portugal were staring the elimination in the face, a tournament they then went on to win

Ah leave him be. He thinks setting up a few consolation goals when the game is over classifies him doing. It’s amazing how low he drops the bar for a guy who is meant to be the best in the world.

Unreal.

Nothing surprises me with Messi any more - A god among men.

Maradona was God. Messi is merely a disciple.

When was this?

Yes he did. Well done to him, what’s your point?

Here.

You do realise Argentina had a good chance to equalise after their last goal and that the other two goals gave Argentina a 2-1 lead?

Consolation goals.

Goals to put you 2-1 up are consolation goals?

When you lose 4-3.

One was a square pass to Di Maria who as usual was the main man for Argentina and rifled in a fantastic strike. The other was a corner. The next one was a consolation.

You’re setting the bar fairly low for him on the international stage as usual.

So goals are consolation goals unless you win?

Evidently.

You continue to set the bar very low for Mythi in an Argentine shirt.

no, it depends on who scores the goals, what the argument is and whether or not you are prepared to debate something for hours on end.

I have no interest in getting into another long debate with you repeating the same things we have for years. Neither of us are going to change our opinions. I’m just calling you out on when you say barefaced lies
