Thatās the reason why I said it, Armstrong seems to think that because he beat cancer and fund raises for cancer that it excuses everything else he has done and I think it is a reason why the likes of Nike havenāt dropped him like a hot snot. I am hoping he gets a slap of reality across the face.
You should look into that. Very little of the money raised goes into cancer research. Its a vehicle for him to line his pockets. The man disgusts me.
I concur. There are a number of big names that seem to have avoided suspicion completely Indurain and Lemond chief among them.
The truth can hurt. mate.
Greg Lemond came back from being shot in the back.
Yeah but he doesnāt bang on about like Saint Armstrong.
Indurain doesnāt avoid suspicion. Heās just from an era where there were loads of dopers but not many caught. Not much different to Roche in those terms, apart from his dominance of course. The fact he was Spanish rather than French or Italian means the courts never went after him.
Iād be surprised if LeMond doped. And very disappointed. Heās the acceptable face of cycling from that era.
I am far too angry to address this now but I will come back to it when I have calmed down and can be more articulate.
Friend.
+1
An organisation that exists to enrich a fraudster.
LeMond never doped.
Lemond wasnāt a doper.
This is a witch hunt driven by Rocko and larrycunt.
Weāre behind you lance, keep fighting the good fight.
Do explain Kellyās positive drug tests to us then and what Willy Voet wrote about him.
You rarely seen his name mentioned in articles about doping. Itās always Riis, Virenque, Pantani etc who are the ones mentioned from that era.
If Sean Kelly and others at the top were doping at that time, then Lemond was certainly doping if he was regularly beating them. He was obviously just better at hiding it.
Why do big name corporates allow themselves to be associated with cycling?
Surely there plenty of other marketing oppourtunities out there rather than having your branded tranished by drugs cheats?
LeMond was probably the most naturally gifted athlete of all time with one of the highest VO2 max scores ever recorded. There has never been even a hint from anybody in cycling that he ever doped.
That isnāt the case with Kelly. Itās debatable whether he took EPO or not but not really in debate whether he doped.
Nike came out heavily in support of Armstrong after he declined to contest the USADA charges. Maybe it doesnāt hurt them that much.
Usain Bolt
You might have a point there mate but I think there all at it to be honest. Sean Kelly is a legend and even if he was up to a small bit of shenanigans I think we should leave him off. Roche is a different case though-sneaky bastard.
