Lance Armstrong

Less rotten then it was few years back but huge problems remain all right. I couldn’t have seen someone like Hesjedal winning Giro back few years back mind. That is hugely positive sign and makes me feel optimistic.[/quote]

Do you honestly believe he is clean? I don’t believe anyone.

You’re an awful bollox

Vaughters came out of affidavits very well I thought. He certainly was a very reluctant doper and left postal really because of the culture at that team.Armstrong tried to get him fired from Garmin too which I thought was bit twisted. Not sure where you got his enthusiasm for doping from?ASO are more credible organisation than UCI imo and could play big part in any breakaway.AFLD run better testing too imo.
Hamilton and Gilbert have both alluded to knowledge of doping in other sports in recent days. Obama too probably has fair bit to answer for reading between the lines in Hamilton’s book. Would make you think. With all disillusionment with cycling recently perfectly understandable how governing bodies are only too happy to turn a blind eye.

Who Hesjedal? 100%.

What kind of format do you want it in?

Me neither, unfortunately. To win a Giro, against a bunch of guys who are definitely doping…I don’t believe it. As Jacques Anquetil said, you don’t win a grand tour on bread and water. It’s just too hard. It’s a savage sport.

I have upmost confidence in Phinney too. Great to see guys like him emerging and speaking out.

.pdf please.

Opening up his fridge to show…I can’t remember who…Van de Velde maybe…“you wanna see what EPO looks like?”. There was nothing reluctant about his doping.

Who was second on the Giro, Rodriguez? Probably one of the most suspect riders around. Tyler was kind to animals and was a lovely fella. But was still a cheating kunt.

Yep agree on Rodriguez.Valverde back on the juice too.Cobo’s ‘form’ most ridiculous of all.

I only have it epub and .mobi formats.
I’ll see if I can get something to convert it to pdf.

There absolutely was. Andreu and Hamilton have both spoken about how reluctant he was, how he was always asking questions about the doping and why he decided to leave as he couldn’t hack it anymore. He also supported O’Reilly and Betsy Andreu long before most other ‘crusaders’ did and suffered huge amount of flack for it.

Maybe so larry. I’ll read over it again. My first impression was that he was an enthusiastic doper but maybe I got it wrong. I read all the affidavits in one go.

Yeah can be bit misleading but if you take sections in isolation but impression I have always got off Vaughters and from report and from Hamilton’s book is that he (Vaughters) was always just going with the culture but didn’t like it and eventually got out to set up his own team in opposition to that culture. I think reformed dopers are vital to lasting future in cycling. As rocko pointed out big difference between likes of Vaughters and Millar and Riis and Valverde mind.

I converted it to PDF and threw it up here.
It’s not the greatest though:

Superb Runt, thanks. I’ll print that out in work tomorrow on the taxpayer’s dime.

David Walsh on after the ads, by the way

back on? Never off. Cobo’s form disappeared when people started looking at his 'remarkable" Vuelta win. At least he stopped a Sky kunt from winning it.
