They nearly folded a few years back, if I recall correctly. There’s Rosslare Harbour and Rosslare Strand, along with a few town land / smaller village type places in the catchment area like Tagoat and Kilrane. The pitch was in the harbour but they sold it and built new grounds on the side of the main road somewhere between Tagoat, Kilrane and the harbour. They kinda lost their focal point and kids from harbour housing estates that deviated towards the club weren’t arsed cycling up the main road for a few miles to train/play. They struggled to field in a few grades etc. I think the likes of Griffin made renewed efforts to get the organisation sorted behind the scenes.

Don’t think so. Did Rosslare ever produce inter-county hurlers other than the Guiney twins? They both defected to Rathnure in their early 20’s.

Rathnure were semi christened Rossnure for many years while the Guineys togged out for them. The 2 lads were the difference in at least 1 if not 2 county finals from memory

Kieran Fitzgerald should be interesting. Won an All-Ireland in what I presume was his debut season with Galway. Long barren spell before more All-Ireland success with Corofin in the twilight of his career. Never heard of that Derry player before. Tohill and Brolly usually garner the attention from that team.
