They would be as well off doing a series on fellas like critcherly or other lads who were standout footballers on relatively average teams of yesteryear rather than doing one on the likes of Ryan O’Dwyer.
O’Dwyer is a teacher so I am wondering is he a half decent irish speaker so they gave it to him.

O Dwyer is like David Brady. A bit of a bungalow and full of bluster so there is a good chance that that he might say something controversial which would get picked up by other media.
If Ryan O Dwyer was any good he’d have been playing for Tipp.

He did play a year with the footballers. Probably a career highlight.
He once nearly dragged Dublin into an All Ireland final that they probably would have won but then single handedly lost it for them, I’d be interested to hear him reflect on that

In most games I saw him he was either red carded or had to go off and be bandaged up as a blood sub. I have yet to decipher if he was extremely brave or a really bad tackler. He had a quarter final vs Limerick in 11 where he got 3 goals. I can’t remember much more about his scoring prowess after that. He was an abrasive player that Dublin probably needed at the time. Made the most of himself and his talent but not worthy of a LG.

Was it Hickey at full back and Geary at centre back and Dublin rotivated Limerick down the middle that day?. Think Geary was pulled at half time with O’Mahoney going to centre back and steadying it up.
Assume that was Geary’s last game for Limerick

Geary played 2012. After a quick Google… Started CF against Clare in thurles. He didn’t last long that day I think
