Guys stop - Bernard is alright although should have retired in 16/17. Heās a dogged fucker and thought he was just about good enough to get back in and more power to him. Heās milking the very last of his football profile. The only Dublin player to come back well for his club was Connolly - a freak of nature.

Bernard retired soon after that, whereas myself and @Scrunchie bounced back to win several Astro leagues in the following years.
I guess some players just donāt have the mental strength to cope with the minor setbacks.

Maybe Mannion too has been decent for Crokes but the rest are generally useless after the All Ireland each October.

From watching GAA on TV recently most county men donāt really stand out. The odd exception. Maybe they are not that far ahead other than in terms of fitness and athleticism in football especially. Hurling at club level is just a different game.
There was a feature in the echo there recently about how notable the inter County players impact has been on the local championships. First time they will have done any substantial training with their clubs in a while and tons fresher
