Iâd imagine so. I donât know a thing about the case to be honest, but it must be someone connected with the GAA there going by @Special_Olympiakos comment above. I donât think I even want a PM.
Itâs remarkable what Delaney has achieved in fairness, without even knowing about this. He left school before LC, had two kids by the time he was 20, and yet managed to develop a very successful and profitable business.
Abused as an 11 year old by a neighbour who was on the senior hurling team who he looked up to. Eventually went to the guards and your man was jailed. Had left school at 17 before the leaving and worked as a milkman. Now the CEO of a successful financial advisory firm.
Worth a look - the excerpt is on the front page of the RTĂ website.
It turns out I hurled with a brother of the perpetrator. Complete psycho. This probably explains a lot.
He said once it went into court everyone knew about it. There was no anonymity. But that didnât happen until at least 2013 so it wouldnât have been known when they were hurling together.
I dont think theyâd have played much together. Maybe a crossover for a couple of years when Delaney was very young. The perpetrator wasnt really on the team when Toome became very successful from 1992 onwards.
The perpetrator had a brother who i believe was absolutely unreal but was banned for life or a few years anyway when he was young enough for an incident in a North Championship game.
This may be the same guy @Fagan_ODowd hurled with.
Thatâs the fella I played with. Came to Dublin to work as a barman and hurled junior with us for a couple of months. Complete loon. Would cut a fella in two for nothing.
Hereâs a picture of Tony Delaney and the perpetrator on the same team.
