Just watched League Sunday back there. Best show of the year so far. Joanne as someone said earlier is probably a hundred times better at presenting than Des Cahill. Thought Bugler did ok on the panel. Understated but not a bullshitter. Great to see Donal Og stirring up a bit of controversy and sticking the boot into Offaly. You could argue that he played the unnamed man/men and that Offaly are an easy target now but at least it was a change from the usual bland shit.

As it happens Ogie could have made the same point about tradition about Waterford in the 1980s when they went down to division 3 that outside of a 25 year period from 1938 to 1963 they had done nothing and that their humiliation in 1985 in dropping to Division 3 was a reversion to the mean and that the 25 year period of limited success was the outlier.
The point being that if anyone in Offaly actually gives a shit they could be back at the top table in relatively short order. In Waterfords case we were Munster minor champions and All Ireland U21 champions six years after leaving Division 3 and in an All Ireland Semi Final twelve 12 after exiting that Division. Decline need not be permanent. You’d suspect that Duignan and Co would be too thick to take inspiration from Waterford seeing as how they hate us.

You say the same about us. A bit of structured underage coaching around the county for a few years and the job was oxo.
To be honest based on offaly’s level this year they will further embarrass themselves if they engage in that carry on .
