The Monday after losing to Antrim this feels like hope springing eternal !
Ah not really. Wexford lost to Westmeath last year but still came within 6 of Galway in Salthill despite being missing a penalty and also beat a Kilkenny team going at 75%. Itâs not completely deluded to think a similar sequence of events could occur again this year.
Galway are Galway. Anything could happen.
Itâs the hope that kills you. There are a lot of woulds, coulds, shoulds, ifs and maybes in that post.
Wexford need to be beating Galway. They should have all the motivation in the world and their fans need it even more. That Galway HB line is prime for the taking bar Fahy. Fintan Burke is one of the slowest defenders at this grade too.
Wexford would have been better off had they been relegated last year. Force them into doing something
Lauren Guildfoyle tweeting away about the AIL finals while Clare were playing was a bitter blow to the split season.
Thatâs the sort of thing theyâd notice in croke park.
While i do agree with you on what your saying above but surely after Saturday there has to be consequences for that result. I feel 3 or 4 players need to be dropped, I dont think Donoghue being vice captain is a reason for him keeping his spot. Team news for Saturday will be interesting.
So when are we expecting Liam Ryan back? Some time in 2026 maybe?
Every time I see the standard during the league twas ââ another week or two ââ or ââ Liam needs more time ââ
Galway HB and FB line were very good against kk for the most part.
I dunno Flatty. Grealish and Fintan were torn asunder individually. Linnane doesnât look the part at wing back this year. Iâd prefer if Fahy stayed central and Mannion moved back to the wing.
Morrissey was a loss, any word of him.
Ag feachaint ar an teilifĂs it seemed PM was at 3 and DĂĄithi at 6 most of the time. Fahy did show well
Dislocated shoulder by the look of it. Season over I suspect.
Daithi is a freak. Best defender Iâve ever seen.
Kk didnât really threaten a goal though they fumbled a couple of balls when they might have. Thatâs surely a good sign.
Fahy made one excellent save and maybe recovered from a fumble after but then Kk reverted to just bombing points from distance. They didnât show much of their hand and still were unlucky not to win really. An ideal result for them all-in-all and it sets us up nicely for another potential Leinster Final defeat.
Lauren is yesterdayâs news
Why donât Galway play DĂĄithĂ full back? He was the best in the game there for a long while
Maybe I was a bit over the top. There was the Richie Reid injury factor.
Was thinking back to James McGrath and 2019, which was outrageous.
I think you were (I thought so at the time). He could even have played a bit more, there was more than one substitution as well as Reidâs injury.
