Championship is too compressed as is. GAA top brass and club players donāt want to give up August. Something has to give.
Itās a disgrace the hurling championship is starting on Easter weekend when most families have prior religious ceremony & egg hunt commitments.

Richie Hogan came across arrogant enough on OTB last night. He wants Kilkenny to be beating teams easily in Leinster and displayed a kind of faux sympathy for Mayo that they were doing drills for their bad eye in Carton House one year. I think heās overstating Kilkennyās perceived dominance within the province. Kind of playing the laxness in Leinster for the All-Ireland travails when the reality is that the Munster teams are just better.
