I’m after watching it there and I thought ye were outclassed hurling wise.
We were beaten up a stick in every line.
I don’t think it was a totally a physical thing,that’s the worst Galway team I’ve ever seen. Totally unimaginative in moving the ball. Even Whelan. A modern great really, crazy stuff. I don’t think kk were sharper or stronger, they play to a certain level every year recently and are probably underrated for that. I thought that was really bad from Galway. I’d say they’re writing the year off and going to go with young lads.

All correct, I think he won a 21 with them but definitely won a senior. He played football with Doonbeg for years, which was controversial with NOF. Big James Mc was captain of the harty team the year after SOB was overage and fit a similar profile without the football and intercounty experience.

He was wrestling away with Joe Maskey during the match. They were schmozzling at the goal. They stopped, then he dunted Maskey on the chest with top of hurl. Maskey was sent out to wind him up.
My take on today.
My man on the ground today said Wex were more suited to playing with 14. It for forced a direct on Chin. Conversely Antrim were clueless how to use the extra man.
Delighted Dublin won. Always had a gut feeling it was going to be a 1 score game with the tight sidelines. Encouraging to see Dublin come through in the championship minutes.
Took in the live action in Nowlan Park. Sitting beside some auld school lads who only realised TJ wasn’t playing was the highlight of the day. The much maligned Ray Boyne has clearly had an impact on KK. Richie Reid just sat and minded. He was also 1st receiver on a load of POs. Kk were happy to let C Mannion have a field day as long as they won the other battles. Kk also played with 5 forwards and had 3 in mf. However boiling it down KK were up for it and Galway have a load of watery/soft fuckers who fail to execute basics, the 2nd goal highlights this.

Is Conor Mc back? Dublin full back line are very poor aerially. PP suits route 1. Chin and C Mc there could get 3 green flags. I’d be moving Paddy Doyle there and focusing on stopping the deliveries. Dublin started a lad there tonight who never started a game before in league/championship. A great fella but not near this level. O Donnells loss sorely felt now

Davy sent a few lads out with no other direction other than to get a reaction. It’s hilarious then that he had no gameplan for when his plan actually worked. This is before we get into the irony of the 2019 semi final.
Conor Mc won’t be seen for a while. But Chin and Rory could do untold with the right ball. Jack O will be a big loss.

Route 1 pays off in PP
Weirdly for a fella who normally plays sweepers (and has had success with it at times), Davy’s teams have always seemed to struggle with an extra man.
The 2019 AISF is the most obvious example but Waterford vs Limerick in 2023 was horrific from their point-of-view, they had no idea how to use the extra man, a tiny bit more composure and they’d have won relatively easily.
If Wexford want to progress in the 2025 championship, we badly need Cian Byrne and Rory O’Connor to step up with a few scores, start looking for action. They’re more than capable. Cian is in the panel two years or that now, he needs to start showing his obvious potential. Big big game as far as I’m concerned.
Danny Sutcliffe and Donal Burke both went off injured yesterday. Dublin will be very light in the half forward line without them if they don’t make it back
