I think I’ll start my young lads with Clontarf Cricket Club when the Friday night summer training kicks off next month in Castle Avenue. A glass of wine & something to eat from one of the food trucks while the boys perfect their outfielding.

I imagine the older fella will be a middle order batsman & a part time offspinner. Hard to tell with the younger lad, maybe a wicketkeeper batsman.

I was in the Orange Goat earlier this morning and the excitement was palpable. I was putting in a bit of time before going down to Scoil Ui Chonaill to get a copy of The Book from The Shop. I wasn’t that impressed with the Orange Goat. I don’t know what I was expecting but I definitely expected better. I know it’s in Clontarf West but €4 for a flat white?
