Leinsters anti rugby is going to a new level playing four centres and no wingers.

The first and foremost of these is retaining key leaders within the organisation for extended periods of time. Leinster have had only two CEOs in 25 years and Leo Cullen, who has wisely been recontracted for another two seasons, has led a rugby programme since 2015 that is the envy of clubs across the globe.
Compare that to Munster, where the number of former head coaches since 2016 reads as long as a list of Elizabeth Taylor’s former husbands.

So Jordie Barrett is allowed to start in big games and no skullduggery needed to get him into the team.
And Tommy O’Brien hasn’t suddenly reappeared.

He makes the point that Blackrock have a bigger rugby budget than some of the URC franchises. It’s not an outlandish claim but it’s probably unlikely.

It’s a school with 2,000 kids. It’s hardly a surprise that a lot of money goes on sport. The “budget” is something made up and now passed along as gospel.
€2m on sport wouldn’t surprise me at all given they have two swimming pools (one is closed), extensive grounds and hours and hours of kids time to fund.
It works out about €1k a pupil.
€2m on rugby is highly unlikely. Seven figures possible.
