Hard to get your head around Dublin County board fixing Senior League fixtures for 6pm on Saturday evening. Not sure any other county would do it.

Its fucking infuriating. There argument is clubs can change if they want to but clubs often refuse to change because they think the opposition are looking to pull a stroke

  1. Galway
  2. Kilkenny
  3. Wexford
  4. Dublin
  5. Offaly
  6. Kildare.
Wexford have Galway and Dublin at home. Awful record v the dubs but on the law of averages they have to beat them sometime . Simon roche and jack Redmond are nice additions to the forward line.
Kildare and offally will probably be a relegation play off. All depends how they’ve acquitted themselves prior to that.

Kildare toddled down to Wexford Park for the last league game & didn’t try a leg. I suspect a few young Wexford forwards who had the run of the place that evening will be getting the butt of the hurl into their ribs just before throw-in this weekend.

Could somebody more knowledgeable than me confirm which games are being televised or shown on an app?

Kilkenny Galway and offaly Dublin on gaa+ this weekend. Think Kilkenny wexford following week is too

I think Leinster is actually nicely poised this year and despite the fact that Kilkenny have won the last 6 iterations it’s generally fairly competitive.

As mentioned by @Galaxy above Wexford are surely due a win against Dublin on the law of averages having only beaten them once in championship since 2008. It’s a pity Simon Roche didn’t emerge a few years earlier when Wexford were bona fide Leinster contenders but he was the main talisman in the league this year at 20/21 years of age. Jack Redmond showed well as mentioned with the hat-trick against Kildare. There’s still a feeling that the Wexford team is just a slight bit too patched together but they’ve never failed to escape the Leinster round robin in an even year with this set of fixtures (2018, 2022, 2024). Surely Dublin will be a tad better though and will squeeze through. They should have the beating of Kilkenny in the Nell on the last weekend on current form but you just know that they’ll find a way to mess that one up.

It’s negligence that Galway haven’t won Leinster since 2018 but the emergence of youth like Trayers, Rabbitte, Aaron Niland and Neary seems to have completely reinvigorated them and they’re a different animal to last year. Galway teams being heavily fancied hasn’t usually panned out well in the past but I think Kilkenny are at a low enough ebb cc@Andy Comerford for the Tribesmen to sneak this one. Plenty of good games to whet the appetite. It’s a pity Offaly v Wexford isn’t earlier than round 4 when either or both of them could be ailing. I think there’s another kick in Offaly but not under Johnny Kelly. A veritable feast of Leinster hurling on Saturday with Laois v Carlow on Clubber the standout game of the Joe McDonagh this weekend.
