Reigning champions Roscrea rallied from 12-18 down to defeat Clongowes Wood in the first semi final today.

@tallback check out how CBC managed to lose the junior cup quarter final last week. 26-26, last play of the game and CBC in the Clongowes 22 pressing for the win…about 4 minutes 20 secs in
Heartbreaking. Gavin Cummiskey will be writing about for years to come.
The CBC number 14 let his teammates, friends, family but most importantly his Religous Order down.
Jesus that’s a shocker. Classic CBC.
The right team clearly won.
Some real champagne rugby from the Clongowes boys while CBC stayed in the game with mullocker’s tries.
Clongowes full back John Maher looks to be an absolute star in the making on that performance.
You could well be right Sid. A 9 try game or whatever it was is hard to put into a 4 and a half minute video though. That Maher kid look excellent alright even if you could have driven pick up trucks through some of the defensive holes there.
Either way though as talkback says its classic CBC. You could set your watch to the bottle job. When I was in the school we lost a semi final by 7 points with the kicker missing 6 kicks. A few years ago they lost another semi after a player ran half the length of the pitch, slowed down 10 yards out thinking he was home and not seeing a flying midget of a winger who ended up knocking the ball out of his hands under the posts.
I’m pretty sure the a curse was put on the place after it became the first Christian Brothers school to appoint a lay principal. To make matters worse, rather than appointing the rugby coach who once partnered Sir Anthony O’Reilly in the centre for Belvedere and won CBC their only cup, they went for a pinko liberal. He had a real Noel Browne streak to him and was the brains behind free third level education and sex education reform as Niamh Breathanach’s chief advisor in the coalition government. God doesn’t forget these things.
Belvedere vs Roscrea in the final again this year. Belvo after being gifted two interception tries in the last ten minutes with Michaels all over them.
A northside school, and an Offaly school. For the second year in a row.
Rugby is truly fucked.
The country is fucked.
The schools of Brian Lenihan and Brian Cowen in the final.
Fianna Fail are back, alright.
After a brief respite its more bad news on Great Denmark Street with the passing of one of their most distinguished alumni, The Honourable Mr. Justice Adrian Hardiman.
The biggest day in the Irish rugby calendar is upon us. Its hard to see anything other than Belvedere avenging last year’s final defeat. It could be a Leinster/Munster Jesuit double for the first time since 1951 as Crescent College face CBC in the Munster decider. CBC though are hot favourites down there. A bittersweet day for both Jesuit institutions having each lost one of their most distinguished alumni in 2016.
Best wishes to the Offaly boys today. Sew into those townie cunts.
It sickens me that the final is taking place today and not on our national day.
Why is that btw?
So the Roscrea lads can get the milking done on Thursday
Best of luck to the Jesuits taking on the Connacht Academy
