I notice Longford finished comfortable at the end. That county is a credit when it comes to football. Next smallest population to ourselves yet Division 3 regulars, some scalps in the qualifiers and great club performances

The water break in the 2nd half totally killed our momentum.
Paddy roasted him today apparently. Pity we hadnāt 6 paddyās .
Disappointed to slide back so meekly to the basement. That said weāll have a cut at it and with a decent draw and an injury free run should give it a rattle.
On the plus side I see from the teamsheet above that we have now not 1 but 2 captains.

There really is a massive gap between the two divisions.

Like boxty says well give it a good rattle,weāve beaten all them teams before and weāll bate em again.Whats the story with Terry ?Has he another year or what.We need to stop giving teams a head start on us and start getting stuck in from the throwin.Too many times we let the other team get the first few scores before we get going and then were playing catch up.Anyways hereās to giving Mayo a good rattle next week.Liatroim Abu.

It took us 10 years to get out the last time.If we have a full squad with everyone making themselves available then yeah we should go back up.4 home games would also be a help.

Youāre leaving out an important factor peculiar to D4, you havenāt the dreaded fear of relegation hanging over you from the off. I always knew D3 would be a big ask this year but were we to get promoted next year weād be in a better place.
Weāll need to find a couple of backs somewhere, persuade Jack Heslin back and have another look at a few lads, Flanagan, Fox and McTague from the Willies spring to mind.
Shane Moran has been a big loss latterly but heāll be back. Lookit, itās not the end of the world, weāll probably ship a scutching next weekend but Hey, thereās next year.

Iām a big fan of Heslin alright,weāve plenty of forwards at the minute so as you say thereās no relegation I think we need to go out and use them properly. I wasnāt very impressed with Terryās attitude any time I heard him on the radio lately, playing the poor mouth and goin on about cancelling the league altogether but maybe thatās the Cavan way.Id like to see us put up a good show next week no matter what happens.
BTW Iāve to work with a sheepstealer today.Thatāll be fun.

I think Mayo getting relegated will be more of a talking point than Leitrim for most Rossieās anyway.

I think Roscommon vs Mayo is going to be one of the games of the year.
Youāre not wrong there either pal, heās a glass half empty man. Some lads donāt seem to have gotten a fair shot and then find themselves outside the camp altogether. Diarmuid McKiernan was fucking blackguarded the day of the league final as was Gary Plunkett the same day. Pearce Dolan has either gone to shit or rubbed him up the wrong way. He completely fucked over Fergal McTague the day of the Connacht championship. See the pattern evolving - 3 from the same club.
