Leitrim Matters, the home of sitka spruce

Christ no. Waaay too civilised and cultured looking. I’ll have a dig and get you something in the morning. You’ll appreciate where I’m coming from then.
This is the guy who was atin’ clumps of grass one day V the Rossies as the brown flowed down the poor lads leg. @farmerinthecity is a big fan of him.

There you go, some more angelic shots of him…a hardy nut in his heyday…:face_vomiting:

Do North and south leitrim people get on well or is there a big divide?

Oh you’re asking the right lad. He’s 3 hours now wondering why you’re asking such a question and his proximity to West Cavan makes him economical with information.

Look at landscape of the county, north of Drumshanbo is mountainous country, a lot of forestry and harbours the bulk of the counties eccentric residents. In the main these are impoverished folk, eking out existences but a proud and noble breed who can trace their origins in the main to the O’Rourke clan of chieftans and thus carry an air of privilege.

What could be wrong with them - nothing. The usual suspect, the worthless flutes in the County Board inexplicably contrive to cause disruptions on an annual basis. The centre of excellence should never have been in Annaduff, Drumshanbo was the best location for all parties.

All that said, while they’re mostly the finest (90%) there’s little sympathy anywhere hereabouts for the fortunes of the Kinlough club, Melvin Gaels, the home of the shaper and the other spoofer in CP.

Thanks. Ample stocks of necessities. 2 bottles of Jameson to make hot toddies for warmth. We’ve been here before. I’ll house the goats to prevent mini-wars.

I have to say I had a good chuckle at that post.

Is Mary another sister? Married Fox?

She was ill a number of years back I recall? How is she now?

Near the top I’d imagine in the machinations of the CO. Co. It’s difficult to kill off this particular tribe, their resilience is incredible. An alright sort actually. She’s the mother of Willie’s attacker Sean Fox who’s had a terrible 2 years with injury. He’ll be I/C standard next year when fully recovered.

Meant for you with tongue slightly in cheek. The eccentric reference was for yourselves.

There ye go @farmerinthecity @anon67715551

Ballinamore (pop 914) are to get 130 asylum seekers (apt phrase) in the coming 2 weeks.
It’s about a 15% increase in population putting enormous pressure on existing facilities.

We’ll have to hold tough until a Luas facility is installed. Could turn nasty if those far right loons start their campaigns. Interesting times ahead.

A sure the towns population is probably down 40% in the last 50 years, plenty space. If they’ve any sense they’ll have the whole lot of em down the GAA pitch the next day see can they find a midfielder or two

Have ye no can of mix handy.Whos goin to benefit €€€ by housing these lads.

Interesting view. They’re not short of poachers though not all of the goal variety.

We were anticipating a hard border and were recruiting quick slippery lads for the night shift.
Plans are fluent currently.

Indeed. Hopefully the visitors are fluent beyond the local standby of “no comment”.
