It’s on Channel 5
Another cheap edge, slipping away from India
211/7 as another one falls on 43.4 overs.
This is a miserable batting effort from India.
Sky max showing it
India wont even see the 50 overs out.
The belief that they bat deep has always been untrue, when their early men go well they obliterate sides but if they have to go to the well batting they rarely find what’s required. Indian bowlers have to save it now.
300 a par score on this wicket seems to be the general consensus. Australia in the box seat.
Another one falls. Bumrah on his way. 214/8
Bookies still have India favourites in running. 4/5 compared to Australia’s 21/20.
No pace on the field at all though, boundaries will be tough.
Head, Warner and Marsh will come out hard at the top of the order.
226/9
Poor innings from SKY.
Would cricket even be a top 3 sport in Australia? 1.5 billion Indians and cricket is all they have in the world.
This is poised…
India post 240. A run out on the last ball going for a 2nd run that wasn’t there and they’re all out.
I think the Indian bowlers can get after this yet.
Hard to judge who’s on top in an ODI until both teams have batted once.
The two Indian tail enders added 14 runs. Could be crucial yet.
Seven of the first nine World Cup finals were won by the team that batted first. But the last three were won by the team batting second (granted the last final was a tie). Would I be right in saying that traditionally in one day cricket, batting first gave a team a slight edge, but as the mindset of players has changed over the years and with the advent of 20 over cricket, that edge has switched to the team batting second?
This will be done by the end of the power play at this rate.
Boom!!
